What is Tengu?

Tengu is the AI portfolio manager that connects 25+ brokerages, including Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, Interactive Brokers, Coinbase, and Kraken, and executes the trades you approve through your own broker. Never custodial. It reads your real positions, answers questions about your money with cited research from 229 finance tools, and acts only on what you authorize. Tengu, Inc. is a US financial-technology company founded in 2024; the product lives at tengu.co.

The practical difference from everything else with AI in the name: Tengu is built to act. Robo-advisors are good at hands-off index investing, but they require you to move money into their custody. Advice tools stop at suggestions. Tengu works on the accounts you already have, at the brokers you already use, and your assets never leave them.

What does Tengu actually do?

Tengu researches your portfolio and executes the trades you approve, through four products that share one engine:

Every order passes position-size limits, leverage caps, and drawdown circuit breakers before it reaches your broker. Tengu trades its own capital live on the same engine.

Is Tengu safe and legitimate?

Your money never touches Tengu: funds and securities stay at the brokerage you connect, and that brokerage remains the regulated custodian. Tengu itself is a software platform, not a broker-dealer and not a registered investment adviser. It holds a read-and-trade permission that you can revoke at any time. Brokerage credentials are encrypted with AES-256 under managed keys. Nothing executes without your approval, either per trade or through a strategy subscription you chose. Full details are on the security page and in the disclosures.
